Maki has a diverse background in skilled trades recruiting and actively participates in initiatives to promote skilled trades and support youth entering the workforce.
In May 2021, Maki participated in Ontario’s largest virtual skilled trades expo where she presented tips and tricks about resume writing and interviewing in the skilled trades sector to students transitioning from high school to a career.
In November 2021, she volunteered as a mock interviewer at the University of Victoria. Through this initiative, students were able to improve their interview skills in a realistic setting as they prepare for the workforce.

Riverstone Recruiting was founded by Maki Morriss, a Senior Recruiter with over 17 years of varied industry experience. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Health Studies from Queen’s University.
As a Licensed Foreign Worker Recruiter in British Columbia, Maki has helped international skilled trades workers join employers in Canada, ensuring the staffing and skillset essential to complete industrial and commercial projects.
